HAJIME NO IPPO
ok the review for this anime has been long overdue
i will start by saying that this anime is the pioneer of sports anime , which actually brought sport genre to the big pic , it is similar to dbz when we talk abt the global influence ...................... since this is one of the first anime of it's kind , it is sort of generic in the sense of having a simple and linear plot with the generic underdog protagonist and super cool 2nd protagonist ........... but this is why it is different from dbz , there are many anime now which over-shine dbz in it's genre but hajime no ippo is still very relevant and a really really awesome watch .......... the original series might be a little generic , but the 2 new season (one is still ongoing) , has topnotch art and a very modern and a really really good story arcs . all in all i say this is the gr8est sport anime of all time and also one of the best anime in general ever ....................... one good thing is , u love the people u r supposed to love and hate the ones u have hate , also it is quite good in the aspect tht it is a excellent nail-biter , since every fight is built up so well tht u really dont know if the protagonist will win or not and he does loose in some occasions (this is very a though thing to do , and most of the anime lack this factor) , .................... one odd thing is there , out of the blue a random very sexual scene will come , (i mean there is a moterbaot and humping scene which comes out of the blue )....... but still a good watch for any anime fan ,and a must for people who like sports anime
one more positive : the background music is exceptional , the score in the anime are amazing and very appropriate and gets ur blood pounding during an intense scene .... and beware the openings are killer

direction and screenplay : 8/10 (since the first seaon is pretty generic)
character and character development = 10/10 (generic characters , but the development is so good , tht 10 on 10 o banta hai)
music = 10/10 (u will also agree)
overall = 9/10
